i dont know if its cause im drunk
or if its the situation im going through right now, but i cant stop listening to evolver, each and every song relates to an emotion that im feeling right now and god damn, the music is amazing, fuck you all that hate this album, this album is just pure and utter bliss

All the songs on Evolver are pretty much connected. It happens to me with Evolver and Transistor, and with no other album

I don't hate Evolver, it's just it doesn't hold up when compared to the older stuff. But Jacks, BTGS, Creatures, Dreaming, and Other side are all top notch.

I'm a huge Evolver fan. I think that's one of my main feel-good 311 albums. Soundsystem being the other, of course.

From Chaos was a better album out of that generation of 311 work

Between everything since SS. From Chaos is the best.

this is a great album... i think from chaos might be a baby step better but this is a great album.. DTOM... i dont know why people compare DTOM to Evolver.. evolver is 10 times better album and they dont sound alike at all

Evolver is great. DTOM has nothin on Evolver. From Chaos is better than Evolver. Soundsystem is better than them all.

i'd have to disagree. From chaos has a few gems, but evolver is all around a better album. From chaos kind of goes nowhere. But yes, SS blows all of the other 311 albums out of the water.

transistor/grassroots destroys all other 311 albums the only one that almost stands up to them is the blue album.

basically there is two 311 dynastys.. the 90's and the... 00's 90's 311 better than 00's 311 hands down

We weren't going back that far. We were talking since SS.

Musically speaking only these albums are the best matches to each other.

Music and Blue
Grass and Tranny
From Chaos and SS
Evolver and DTOM

i hear that, i can relate to the albums release day to the weather, transistor was in august, ss was in october, from chaos in the summer (june i think....), evolver in july, and dtom again in august... wasn't at the midnight release for the previous ones. i can remember playing the hell out of each one durring the month of the release while riding in the car

evolver was the first cd i was around to buy on release day, that maybe why i love the album so much, but every summer after its launch, i play the hell outta the cd

Yeah, I agree with those match ups. Good call.

Also, I agree with picking the album based on the weather. That's really the only way I can decide which 311 album to listen to.
