Agreed, this was a great movie. I'm hopefully going to go watch it tonight at a friend's house in HD 1080p!

Yesssssssss I can't wait til it comes out on DVD.
This movie went under the radar for a lot of people I think, but it's a must see. Everyone I know has either not seen it, or seen it and completely loved it.

its great yes, but im just not sure how i feel about remakes that are basically the EXACT same movie as the original up for oscars. i mean, there are some scenes that look IDENTICAL to the originals in Infernal Affairs, and i dont htink mr martin scorcese deserves an oscar for something like that. im not trying to take away from the movie, loved it. it was great adaptation and i guess he mgith deserve it for that, but i jsut really dont know how i feel, cuz like i said i REALLY liked it

ps, in case you can't infer it from the remake, infernal affairs kicked major ass

Anyone notice the spoof in the beginning when Frank has a cig in his mouth, and the camera is behind him...but when it jumps to the front he doesnt have it anymore?

Now Scorcese won't win best director now because of that flaw.

i want scorcese to win it this year just so he can have a win. he's got so many pictures that are best picture material, yet always gets snubbed out due to politics and pretty much because of "Last Temptation of Christ."

the movie really is a great movie too. so much dark humor with great performances from everyone invovled, even Anthony Anderson and the uncle from "Grounded For Life." it really is his best since Goodfellas, but not as good as "Raging Bull" or "Taxi Driver"

I just saw this yesterday and thought it was great, but rayner sayin its a sequal makes me a little annoyed. I thought this was a good NEW movie, all this remake bullshit is getting annoying.

Still a good movie anyway. :o

its not really a sequal, more a remake that is really just the exact same movie as the original but with american actors and no subtitles. and The Dropkick Murphys. im not reall bahsing it i liked it a lot, i just dont htink it deserves all this acclaim that infernal affairs didnt get here

I noticed that one too. It's funny because Frank is being so animated with the cig from the rear camera view. It's bouncing up and down in his mouth like crazy. There were one or two other obvious bloopers as well.

Completely amazing movie. Top 10, for me.
and in the end
the love you take
is equal to
the love you make

Yea man thats what I meant!
But I still think the movie was awesome. And that combination of actors was also the shit.

haha yeeeeahhhhhh, whalberg and baldwin turned in performances that were top-notch, with the perfect mix of dark humor and un-hinged badass. my favorite was when whalberg was working his schtick on Damon and compared his climb through the ranks to a 12-year olds hard-on.

also heard that Whalberg's role was originally written with Dennis Leary in mind, but because of "Rescue Me" he couldn't work it out. just something to make those who've seen the movie think.

i love how dicaprio was fierce throughout the movie.
"SHUT THE FUCK UP" while pistol whipping, love that part.

but yeah, marty's due for an oscar since...raging bull, taxi driver, goodfellas, cape fear, casino, bringing out the dead, the aviator, gangs of new york. but i doubt it, eastwood's probably going to win again.
Let's put a smile on that face

FUCK EASTWOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Million Dollar Baby was saved simply because of Hillary Swank's portrayl, and that's all, and MAYBE.....MAYBE Paul Haggis'screenplay that saved it. other than that, it might as well have been "Rocky" with Eastwood behind the lens other thab Stallone, and a female lead.
