I think I may have to come back to the states for this one. How much cannabis will be consumed at this concert?

just did some maths: if i work 2.22 days of overtime (easy to pull off), i can pay for the festival in its entirety.. 3 days will cover food too

Festival: $135 (definitely said $125 yesterday)
Airfare: $240 r/t
-----------------------
Total: $375

311 really is doing big things this year. Cruise, new album, summer tour with a big name 90's band, and now powwow festival. It's almost like 311 is finally starting to realize their potential as a band, i just hope the new album is what we have wanted for s long time.

I'm excited for this now more so than back in the 90s. The stuff from transistor live was pretty bad, a lot of the dubs missing made the songs sound empty (prisoner, use of time, rub a dub) and half-assed. The past few years though have shown great live improvement and I think it's going to be a killer time. I need new mics and a decent bass roll-off, any suggestions anyone?

when my band played in brooklyn they recorded our set with a single stereo mic and it came out fantastic ( whether you like the music or not is another story, but this is off of one mic: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/56366/Thought%2 ... dwater.mp3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

i went back to the place and asked the guy what kinda mic he was.. he said it was a Rogue, and it's from an Australian company -- thats all the info he gave!

That sounds awesome, but I can almost guarantee there's a filter/bass roll off in line somewhere keeping it from clipping. I'll do some homework before august and hopefully we'll have 4 awesome sets of 311-ness shortly after the show to reflect back on
