Incubus - If Not Now, When?
so the album leaked about 3 months ahead of its release, and well.....it's pretty disappointing.
it actually puts me to sleep. it just doesn't sound or resemble anything they've ever done before and, while that's not always a bad thing, the change is way too dramatic and for the worse. i realize they'll never make another Fungus Amongus, Science, or Make Yourself, the same way 311 won't make another Music or Grassroots, but at least give us a little taste of what made those albums so good. there are one or two decent tracks, but nothing that will keep me coming back for more. i didn't care for their last album much either and some people may see this as them being more creative but i just think it's boring and way too focused on Brandon. if i didn't know any better, i would almost see this as a follow up to his solo album. you can definately tell he dictates the direction of the band as Mike and Ben are virtually absent the entire way through.

I saw Incubus open for 311 in 2000. They didn't impress me.

a lot of people are probably asking that about 311 and your response would be a pretty resounding yes wouldn't it?
i'm sure there are some crazies out there who still think incubus puts out the jamz

I can't decide if its the new Mister Mister or Extreme-More Than Words on repeat 11 times. Richard Marx maybe?

Such a disappointing album and seems like Brandon Boyd second solo album. At least the new 311 has some power to it so far but that incubus new stuff has nothing.

I agree with FrixHex311, seems like a solo album for Brandon. I hated it the first time I listened to it but some of the songs are growing on me, mainly just the instrumental part of the song though.

Incubus died after morning view period. I'll never see them live again. Unless they open for 311

Re: Incubus - If Not Now, When?
Their live show back in 2007 or something was so boring. And this new album can't translate well to the live stage. I can see maybe in the company with wolves but the only cool part is the breakdown. It's funny to me that surface to air the bside from this album is one of the better songs from this batch just like how look alive and punch drunk were for light grenades.
