Anyone ever been into MMORPGs?

Translation - RPGs that you play in real time on the Internet with others from around the world...and you usually have to pay by the month for it?

I used to play Asheron's Call in 2001 (alot), and then kind of lost interest until I finally quit in the summer of 2003 after the monthly content patches changed the game around a lot...and plus having a social life started meaning a lot to me, so I grew out of it. It was still a fun time while I played.

Anyone else ever been addicted to these games?

I used to play FFXI a lot. But it got old pretty fast, so I gave it up.

Right now I have World Of Warcraft... but I haven't played it in like a month or so. I've got a level 53 guy, who I really want to get to level 60, but I don't have the patience for that game much anymore. I wanna get back into it... But I donno. I might just end up cancelling my account. But it's too hard to delete my guy

I hear you. I had a level 62 on Asheron's Call and I had a hard time deleting it. Even though I stopped REALLY playing the game, I still kept my account active and paid for it monthly until this past January. I'd log in every month and "pay" for the house that I owned in the game because I couldn't bear losing that either (it was a great accomplishment to be able to buy a house in a good location).

any1 ever play City of Heroes? Very nice. Also, if you r looking for a mmorpg that has no monthly fee. Check out guild wars, it looks pretty cool & free.

I play WoW, not much anymore though, I got kinda burnt out and started playing wc3 and bf2.

Taiyed- 60 Tauren warrior on shattered hand.

Cleared MC including ragnaros and all that jazz. I'm a nerd.

I used to play a few not known MMO's, but I try to avoid the large scale ones only becuase I'm afraid I might get too addicted.
