if ne thing...he could have just been down there to show that he cared...some support...the fact that he was fucking around in san diego is why everyone is upset...ur right it wasnt his fault....there was nothing u or i or bush could do about it...but what happens after is in his control...and the fact is that he should have been there for them...if for nothing else...to show his support...and at least give them the apearance that he is trying and caring

And he did go down there... hugged people who were crying... and gave a speech about how he'll never forget what he's seen and that he'll do everything he can to make sure everyone is pulled out as quickly as possible and that he thinks that City can be as great or greater some day.

michael moore is quite the bitcher
now im registered a s ademocrat but that doesnt mean i agree with everything he says

i do agree however with his statements about the national guard, and helicopters.

70% of the national guard is in iraq right now. thats not how things should be, at all. and i agree, if they werent there, they would all be shipped or be on their way to NOLA to help out with everything down there.

same deal with the helicopters.

danixhex as far as the 9/11 comment about bush staying in the classroom, i beleive he made the right decision.

getting up and leaving the kids tere would have scared the shit out of them. what else could have been done if he had left?

but like i said. i agree with the national guard and heli statements.
those people need some help

Yeah but only 20% of the National Guard from Louisiana is in Iraq. You might not realize how long it takes to assemble the National Guard. They all aren't in bases across America. Many of them are at home. So you have to deal with mobilizing them and then getting the transport, food, water, supplies. Alot of work. And what people don't realize that they were routed to Miss and Alabama after the storm because the levee(sp) didn't break until 30 hours after the majority of the storm had past. A bunch of things went wrong in this tragedy. Going political with it is alittle soon. Maybe after 2 weeks or a month should the Political aspect of the situation be initialized.
