- Formed Hexum Brothers with older brother Nick Hexum in 2004. They toured in the fall to endorse John Kerry for president.
- Released his debut album The Story So Far on Nick's record label in 2004.
- Plays horns with 311 on their Toots & the Maytals cover of "Reggae Got Soul".
